SPARK-T Project: Implementation Guide & Outcome Evaluation
The SPARK-T Technical Assistance Project, guided by the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation, and Sustainment (EPIS) framework, sought to identify the needs of small and mid-sized substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers in California and implement effective solutions through engagement and learning. The attached documents provide strategic guidance for SUD providers and information about how program activities have benefitted providers and other stakeholders.

Groundbreaking White Paper on Behavioral Health Equity in California Published in Journal of Hospital Management and Health Policy
CAADPE is proud to announce the publication of “Enhancing Access to Behavioral Health Services for Groups That Have Been Historically Marginalized in California: Executives’ Views and Recommendations” in a leading peer-reviewed journal. The paper is a product of the HEAR US initiative— a statewide project funded by the California DHCS and managed by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation. HEAR US aims to implement actionable strategies that improve access to and equity of care for underserved communities experiencing severe mental illness, serious emotional disturbances, and substance use disorders (SUD).

New CalAIM Resources for Medi-Cal Providers
On November 12, 2024, DHCS launched a series of new resources to help providers succeed in California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) opportunities. The resources are available in the Providing Access and Transforming Health (PATH) On-Demand Resource Library and include Medi-Cal Managed Care 101 for Community Supports Providers, Medi-Cal Managed Care 101 for Enhanced Care Management (ECM) Providers, and a CalAIM Navigator video series.
