State lawmakers make critical policy decisions that impact SUD consumers and providers, and how each
legislator votes on SUD policy matters to our work. Every year CAADPE advocates for legislation that
supports the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, culturally competent mental health and substance use
disorder care for Californians. To better measure our elected officials, we created a voting record for crucial
pieces of SUD-related legislation in 2023.
