SUD Voices Listening Sessions – Live
Sacramento makes policy.
let’s make sure it works for real people.
We live in the Capitol’s shadow, but too many individuals and families still can’t get help when they need it. SUD Voices for Change is making sure decisions made in Sacramento reflect real experiences—across California.
Why join?
Your voice will help shape how California invests opioid settlement funds. Don’t let policymakers guess what communities need—tell them directly.
Who should attend:
- Individuals living on Skid Row or in unhoused communities
- Veterans, LGBTQ+ community members, and formerly incarcerated individuals
- Individuals who are active substance users, participants in recovery from substance use, and or other participants impacted by SUD, such as a caretakers, loved ones or others impacted by SUD.
- Residents of all 8 Los Angeles Service Planning Areas (SPAs)
We want to hear your experience, including:
- The shuffle: Have you or someone you love been bounced between programs?
- Housing: How do you focus on recovery without stable housing?
- Access: Were services culturally responsive and in your language?
- The wait: How long did it take to get a slot when you needed help most?
Your time matters:
Participants receive a $45 gift card for attending. Breakfast is provided.
