Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Grant
The California Association of Alcohol and Drug Program Executives, Inc. (CAADPE) is leading an innovative pilot program funded by the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) to empower individuals in recovery with the skills and tools needed to secure sustainable employment.
This unique initiative brings a DOR Peer Support Specialist directly to the heart of recovery services, offering personalized job-readiness support at four participating CAADPE member organizations.
Seamless Integration of Employment Support within Recovery Services
This pilot program is designed to provide seamless integration of employment support within recovery services. By addressing the specific needs of individuals in recovery, the program helps participants build confidence and develop the skills necessary to re-enter the workforce successfully.
Key services include:
Job Readiness Training
Comprehensive assistance with resume building, interview preparation, and application submission.
Employment Resources
Access to tailored job postings, readiness materials, and personalized guidance for navigating the job market.
Educational Support
Encouragement and resources for participants pursuing further education or vocational training.
Partnering Organizations
This pilot program is being implemented at four CAADPE member sites.
By embedding support directly into these recovery-focused organizations, participants receive employment assistance in a trusted, familiar environment that complements their recovery journey.
