HEAR US
Improving Access to and Equity for Underserved Communities in Recovery
HEAR US is a statewide project funded by the California Department of Health Care Services and managed by The Center at Sierra Health Foundation. Twelve organizations were selected to improve the quality of care for individuals experiencing severe mental illness, serious emotional disturbances and substance use disorders.
The main goal of the HEAR US project is to implement critical actionable strategies to Improve Access to and Equity for underserved Communities in Recovery.
Main Objectives

Build a workforce
that is culturally responsive and accountable to the people they serve.
Foster a person-led approach
that prioritizes recovery and empowerment.
Lift up the community voice
and ensure parity and representation.
CAADPE has identified organizations who are dedicated to their community and to the clients they serve. CAADPE partnered with implementation experts who are guiding these programs to identify the specific needs within their community and develop actionable strategies to implement trauma-informed and culturally and financially responsive care.
